TEXT: “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind”(Ephesians 4: 17).
Longie Cunningham declared that, “A religion that compels a man to pay his debts, take back the things he has stolen, confess his lies and uncover his crimes has credibility.” A story was told of a first year under-graduate student who voluntarily withdrew from the university. He had obtained his high school certificate by fraudulent means. With the certificate he gained admission into the university. However, he gave his life to Christ while on campus and forsook hrs old sinful ways. Realizing the need for restitution, he voluntarily forfeited his studentship and re-enrolled for the high school certificate examination. What a challenge to Christian youths!
Our text admonishes Christian youths not to live like unbelieving youths. God expects you to be righteous before Him in your thoughts, words and actions. Your life must show others that you belong to God and not to the world. You are different. Flee from immorality, obscene dressing, examination malpractice and other youthful vices. Live like a Christian among fellow youths on the campus, office and everywhere. By so doing you will draw unbelieving youths to Christ.
QUOTE: Live a godly life for all to see.
CHALLENGE: Help me Lord God, to live a Christ-like life, in Jesus’ name..
PRAYER: Help me Lord to live a Christ like life in Jesus Name .
